Olimpia took the game over in the second quarter, led by some great plays made by Sergio Rodriguez, then overcame Malcolm Delaney’s fouling out early in the second half and Trento’s aggressiveness and pride. Milan led by as many as 26 points, but Trento never stopped competing and tried to at least shrink the margin as much as possible. In the end, Olimpia won 93-79, led by Zach Leday’s 19 points. Now, Olimpia leads the best-of-five series 2-0. Game 3 is scheduled to be played on Sunday in Trento. “We deservedly won a game that Trento played with a lot of physicality and pride, while we turn it on and off too many times during the course of the game,” Coach Ettore Messina said.

The win was made possible by a couple of role players like Riccardo Moraschini who had 15 points and four steals, and Paul Biligha who added six rebounds to his eight points. Kevin Punter was the first to set the tone early in the game and finished with 12 points, while Sergio Rodriguez had 15, seven assists and a couple of magnificent plays. “We will have to be patient in Game 3, because at home, they will step up for sure,” Coach Messina added. Kyle Hines made both his field goal attempts and now he is 8-for-8 from the field in the playoffs.
