In the history of the EuroLeague (or the European Cup), Olimpia had never won in Madrid. It did it to celebrate the new year in the best possible fashion, with a performance of monstrous focus and attention to detail, despite thelast minute absence of Shavon Shields, the most used player of the team up to that moment. The two point guards, Rodriguez and Delaney, combined for 31 points,  the surgical Gigi Datome didn’t miss a shot.

14 January 2021, Berlin: Alba Berlin-Olimpia 70-84 

After a complicated first quarter, Olimpia found its rhythm and dominated the game taking it to the end with authority and personality, celebrating in the best way the 300 EuroLeague appearances by an all-around version of Kyle Hines, 13 points, five rebounds and five assists. There were also 28 team assists, 14 of which were equally shared by the two point guards.
